Our Story

A yatra planned the way locals travel it

Bharat Yatras organises fixed-departure Chardham and Do Dham tours from Delhi, covering Haridwar, Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, Badrinath, Mana and Rishikesh. Every itinerary is built day-by-day around the realities of hill travel — trek lengths, darshan hours, vehicle curfews and the weather each stop is known for.

We work with the same drivers and hotel partners season after season. That continuity is what lets us hold to a published schedule instead of figuring it out as we go.

How We Work

The principles behind every yatra

Fixed Itineraries

Every day of the Chardham and Do Dham routes is mapped in advance — drive distances, trek points and overnight stops are set before you start. No winging it on a Himalayan schedule.

One Driver, Start to Finish

The same vehicle and driver travel with your group through the entire yatra — rather than being swapped at each town, creating unfamiliar handoffs at critical points.

Hill-Tested Scheduling

Wake-up times and driving windows are set around the conditions each stretch of road actually has — not a generic daily plan that ignores how altitude, queues and weather interact.

Strategically Chosen Stays

Hotels at every overnight stop are picked for proximity to the following morning's start — so there's no rush across unknown terrain before first light.

Transparent Trek Costs

The trek distances to Yamunotri (6 km) and Kedarnath (16 km from Gaurikund) are stated plainly. Horse and doli options are arranged locally at your own cost — no hidden surprises.

Before You Travel

Three things every guest should know

These aren't fine print — they shape how every single day of the yatra is timed and planned.

No AC in the Hills

Vehicles are not permitted to run air-conditioning once the route climbs into hill sections — for the full duration of the yatra. This applies to every vehicle on these roads.

Early Wake-Up Calls

Plan to be up by 5–6 AM on most days. Late starts mean late arrivals — and on hill roads with traffic, checkpoints and darshan queues, that compounds quickly.

9 PM Vehicle Curfew

Hill roads are closed to vehicles after 9 PM. Every day's drive in our itineraries is planned to reach the hotel well before that cutoff — sticking to morning starts keeps it that way.
